We’re pleased to announce that our favorite garage punk psychedelic surf rockers X-Ray Friends are making a return to Major Toms. They’ll be joined by the new look 3-piece Threat.Meet.Protocol who in the past had joked about being Major Toms house band and even wrote a hate song about us. Should be interesting! Will they play “I hate hipsters?” Probably. You’ll have to come along to find out.

Our buddies from Lever St have decided to throw a big party at Majors to celebrate a few things.

Firstly, The Leers are finishing off writing their debut album and will soon be heading into the studio to record it. Which means that this will be one of the last times they will play in a long ass time. So come down and support them. They will be playing songs that will feature on the album and I’m sure they would love some feedback.

Secondly, Yolanda have just finished their second EP “Cahoots”, and are jetting around the North Island in celebration. They have also been announced as Auckland support for Sub Pop rockers KING TUFF and their single from the EP, I’ve Got A Star has been described as “everything that rock’n’roll should be” by Vanguard Red. So yeah. If you enjoy rock’n'roll this should be your cup of tea.

Last (but not least) we would like to introduce Milou. The newest addition to the Lever St family has been described as somewhere between Grimes, Kimbra and Dirty Projectors. We aren’t sure about any of that but she has a killer voice so come decide for yourself.

Fresh off the back of opening for Moon Duo, rocking house parties and tearing Cassette 9 up for their single release, Auckland power trio HUSK are taking their groove-heavy brand of Rock N Roll on tour.

Brandishing heavy licks, non-stop fills and thunderous bass, Ukiah Brown, Matt Hutson and Robert Bruce bring a refreshing dose of no-nonsense, high-energy music that is hard to come by these days. Drawing influence from classic Psych/Blues bands such as King Crimson and Free, as well as their contemporary counterparts The Datsuns, Black Angels and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, HUSK have gained praise from press both local (UTR, bFM top 10) and abroad.

Hot off the back of releasing singles ‘Sick Seagull Blues’ and bFM #1 ‘My Love’, HUSK are heading out on tour before returning to Auckland for an opening slot for Sub Pop rocker KING TUFF in April.

Husk are playing a free show at Major Toms with Yolanda on the 26th April.

Loui The Zu is an 18 year old MC, producer & singer, song-writer conceived in Durban, South Africa, born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe but growing up in Auckland, New Zealand. Loui is bringin his live band to Mt Maunganui for a show at Major Toms.

Randa is a rapper//beatmaker from the suburbs. Born the year of Wrestlemania IX, LarzRanda enjoyed trips to the VHS store growing up & on weekdays, was either rocking spelling tests or faking sick watching Sally Jesse Raphael.

Street Urchins are a local Hip Hop group from Tauranga born in 90 and 92 so you know that kick drum been kicking since the womb.
